This photo was taken offshore of the Bahamas on our way back to the US. Bill Owens and I were traveling together with Ted and Maggie Hale from Sunday’s Child. Sunday’s Child is the boat on the horizon. They come from racing stock and always seemed to get ahead of us!

My second big trip aboard my sailboat Arcturus was the winter of 2011-2012. I traveled from NC to the Bahamas and back for about four months. Dad, Jimmy James, Mike and I brought the boat down from NC to Ft. Lauderdale. Mark joined me from Ft. Lauderdale to Nassau, through the Berry Islands. I was by myself through the Exumas for about six weeks before meeting up with Bill Owens in Georgetown. Dad joined me on the return run up the east coast of the US. Met some wonderful friends and had an incredible time for my first time out of the country onboard Arcturus.
