This in Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona. The canyon is on Navajo land and you can take a tour of the canyon. The canyon is known for the light beams that shine into it from May to October. When the sun is high up around noon, the light beams begin working their way through the canyon. Our tour guide threw up a handful of sand for a dramatic effect and I used a long exposure to make the sand look like a waterfall.

Dad and I went on a ten week kayak and photography tour after I graduated from Warren Wilson College in 2007. We planned and prepped for the trip for over a year. We focused on visiting National and State Parks west of Colorado. Photography and outdoor activities were the main drive of the trip. Wonderful experience!
