Description

This seal photo was taken in the Puponga Farm Park in the Northwestern portion of the South Island in New Zealand. I had not heard of the Farm Park until traveling around New Zealand and asking New Zealanders about their favorite hiking spots. This one was consistently mentioned. I went here and spent a few days hiking around this fantastic park. There were sheep pastures on the tops of huge cliffs that dropped straight into the ocean. There were magnificent arches and wildlife all over the place. Really amazing spot with very little traffic. Perfect!

This photo was taken during a wonderful trip to New Zealand in 2012-2013. Dad and I were together on this trip for five weeks and were able to go on all sorts of great hikes together. I was able to stay over in New Zealand for a total of four and a half months hiking all over the island and taking photos.
